About GB250RB

This is a very special Event call sign which will run from January 2009 until December 2009. This call sign is to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the Birth of Robert Burns, Scotland’s National Bard.

Members of The Kilmarnock and Loudoun Amateur Radio club are overjoyed to have the GB250RB. We plan for other Amateur Radio Clubs around the area to use the call sign throughout the year along with us.

We started off the event on the Bards Birth date the 25th January 2009 at the Kilmarnock and Loudoun Club premises at Crookedholm, Kilmarnock. Each month we will set up a special event from places Robert Burns had strong connections with.

The January special event was started in Kilmarnock as this was where the first Edition of his book was published. More information will be added to the website throughout the year. If you would like to be involved with us you can contact Arthur Clark by email link below.

Many thanks to the Robert Burns World Federation and Ofcom for making these events possible.
